Located in California’s Central Coast hydrologic region, the Salinas Valley – Forebay Aquifer subbasin is 94,052 acres in size. This Medium priority basin is home to an estimated 43,867 people (2010 value). It has approximately 499 wells, of which approximately 35 are water supply wells. Groundwater accounts for approximately 100 percent of the basin’s water supply.
