Located in California’s Colorado River hydrologic region, the Coachella Valley – Mission Creek subbasin is 48,572 acres in size. This Medium priority basin is home to an estimated 18,977 people (2010 value). It has approximately 208 wells, of which approximately 22 are water supply wells. Groundwater accounts for approximately 100 percent of the basin’s water supply.

2014: CASGEM prioritization – medium. Comments: Radiological and nitrate issues in the basin (B‐118). Mission Creek GW also supplies drinking water to Desert Hot Springs and part of Indio subbasins
