2003Bulletin 118 basin description

2014: CASGEM Basin Prioritization: medium. Comment: Declining groundwater levels across much of the basin.

2018: Basin prioritization comments: Lassen County BMOs recognize GW decline. 1) Headwaters for Pit River/Central Valley Project – Lake Shasta. 2) Extensive restoration project at Ash Creel State Wildlife Area has improved gwls in immediate vicinity of project but delining gwls over past 10 years persist outside of project area, which includes numerous wetlands and tributaries to the Pit River.

2022: January 27 – GSP submitted to DWR

2023: October 26 – GSP deemed incomplete. GSA given 180 days to address deficiencies.
