Located in California’s San Joaquin River hydrologic region, the San Joaquin Valley – Turlock subbasin is 348,187 acres in size. This High priority basin is home to an estimated 202,206 people (2010 value). It has approximately 6606 wells, of which approximately 176 are water supply wells. Groundwater accounts for approximately 49 percent of the basin’s water supply.
