Sharing ideas and resources for successful implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.
Understanding a Groundwater Dependent Ecosystem: Scott Valley
This video provides an overview of how groundwater and surface water interact, what the implications of these interactions on water resources are, and how water can be more effectively managed if an understanding of these interactions is incorporated. From the American Geosciences Institute.
We produced this short video as a way to explain what is happening related to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) in the Turlock Subbasin.
The Kings Subbasin Groundwater Tour, held by Self-Help Enterprises and the Kings River Conservation District, provided an opportunity to learn how water - both surface and groundwater - is used and managed by various users of the Kings Subbasin, and how we can address our groundwater challenges and reach sustainability by working together in light of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
